Capital Campaign
The Dogwood Canyon Audubon Center campaign will result in the construction of an environmentally sensitive education center, hiking trails and the acquisition of approximately 270 acres of wildlife habitat. Five million people live within a 50-minute drive of Dogwood Canyon. As the area continues to be developed, we have an opportunity now to forever conserve this beautiful natural area, while providing educational programs for people of all ages and backgrounds.
Our campaign goal is $7.5 million -- $4 million for land acquisition, $2.5 million for construction of the education center and trails, and $1 million to establish an endowment. To date, we have raised more than $6 million in cash and pledges. We are close to reaching our campaign goal and we hope you will make a financial commitment to help us. If you would like to support this project, or need additional information, please email dcac@audubon.org.

Volunteers
Volunteering is an exciting and rewarding way to participate with Audubon. We are always looking for enthusiastic individuals or groups of people to work with us to further our mission to conserve and restore natural ecosystems.
- Interpretive Volunteers focus on connecting our visitors directly to nature, through guided tours and hands-on activities. Specific duties may include answering visitor questions and providing information on the flora and fauna of the area during the week or on weekends. Audubon offers training opportunities and the opportunity to learn more about our natural environment.
- School Program Volunteers assist with group programs for school children. School Group Programs are age-specific (K-12) and meet state education standards. The programs are scheduled in advance and typically held on weekday mornings during the school year. Volunteers for these programs complete extensive training, and this program requires dependable individuals who can make a specific, long-term time commitment.
