Facility/Maintenance Attendant

Purpose of Position |
The facility / maintenance attendant will assist the Facilities Operations Manager of the Grange Insurance Audubon Center (GIAC), a LEED-Certified 18,000 sp. ft. building and its 2 acre site.

Essential Functions |
- Assist with the day-to-day physical operations of the Grange Insurance Audubon Center including the physical property, horticulture, landscaping, janitorial duties and overall maintenance of the physical plant
- Assist with performing maintenance and repairs
- Perform facility set-ups and tear downs for internal and external customers including private rentals
- Serve as main contact for private rental groups during after hours rentals

Additional Functions
- Work with key staff to ensure the impeccable care and stewardship of the physical property
- Ensure night, weekend and special event operations run smoothly
- Perform facility walkthroughs in all areas to ensure a high standard of facility cleanliness, structural soundness, safety and efficiency

Computer; landscaping equipment; appropriate maintenance equipment

Qualifications (e.g., education, training, experience, licenses and skills) |
- High School degree or equivalent
- Three to Five years related work experience required
- Ability to manage multiple tasks through use of effective organizational and time management skills
- Positive work ethic
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekend / evenings
- A can-do attitude and a tolerant, friendly personality

Physical Requirements |
Walk the property repeatedly, lift, bend and twist as necessary in regard to maintenance and daily operations
