Facility/Maintenance Attendant
Location: Columbus, OH
Immediate Supervisor: Facility Operations Manager
Division/Department:

 

Purpose of Position

The facility / maintenance attendant will assist the Facilities Operations Manager of the Grange Insurance Audubon Center (GIAC), a LEED-Certified 18,000 sp. ft. building and its 2 acre site.

 

Essential Functions

  • Assist with the day-to-day physical operations of the Grange Insurance Audubon Center including the physical property, horticulture, landscaping, janitorial duties and overall maintenance of the physical plant
  • Assist with performing maintenance and repairs
  • Perform facility set-ups and tear downs for internal and external customers including private rentals
  • Serve as main contact for private rental groups during after hours rentals

 

Additional Functions

  • Work with key staff to ensure the impeccable care and stewardship of the physical property
  • Ensure night, weekend and special event operations run smoothly
  • Perform facility walkthroughs in all areas to ensure a high standard of facility cleanliness, structural soundness, safety and efficiency

 

Equipment (e.g., computer, typewriter, calculator, copy machines, telephone, etc.)

Computer; landscaping equipment; appropriate maintenance equipment

 

Qualifications (e.g., education, training, experience, licenses and skills)

  • High School degree or equivalent
  • Three to Five years related work experience required
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks through use of effective organizational and time management skills
  • Positive work ethic
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekend / evenings
  • A can-do attitude and a tolerant, friendly personality
 

Physical Requirements

Walk the property repeatedly, lift, bend and twist as necessary in regard to maintenance and daily operations
