For more than a century, the Audubon Christmas Bird Count has brought together thousands of volunteers across the Americas to count birds for conservation. What began on Christmas Day in 1900 as an alternative to competitive bird hunting has become one of the world's longest-running community science projects. By participating, volunteers collect data that power critical bird conservation work throughout the year. Join us December 14 to January 5 each year and become part of this incredible tradition.
