Gray (they/them) graduated from Northeastern University with a B.S. in Marine Biology with a minor in Environmental Studies. They worked as an environmental educator and maritime professional aboard tallships for several years before landing in the Puget Sound region. Gray developed an interest in conservation GIS while working for Puget Sound Restoration Fund, where they spent three years implementing kelp and oyster habitat restoration projects in the southern Salish Sea. Gray completed a GIS certificate at the University of Washington and built a small GIS program for Puget Sound Restoration Fund prior to beginning the Dangermond Fellowship. They are excited to join the Enterprise GIS Team at Audubon and explore all the applications GIS technology has for advancing equitable conservation. Outside of work, Gray spends their time freediving around Washington, making linoleum block prints, and cuddling their two cats.
