The National Audubon Society released the following statement in response to President Barack Obama’s comments about climate change during his State of the Union address on Feb. 12:
“How many times do we have to have the problem described?” said Audubon President and CEO David Yarnold. “The quickest way to reduce carbon pollution is to follow the smokestacks. Smarter standards for coal-fired power plants are the quickest path to a cleaner future, and the president can make that happen right now.”
