The Galápagos Penguin is a rare sight; there are fewer than 2,000 individuals left on the Galápagos Islands off the Pacific coast of Ecuador. Joseph Tepper was lucky enough to make the trek and land this incredible underwater shot.
"Getting the shot was a combination of strategy and luck," he says. A recent storm had pushed shoals of fish into a small bay off the main island, and the penguins were on the hunt. "Equipped only with my fins, mask, and underwater camera, I spent the better part of three hours and 800 frames capturing these black-and-white bullets on the hunt for some lunch."
