Each year the Teaming with Wildlife Coalition Steering Committee selects a state Teaming With Wildlife Coalition Member who has exhibited outstanding achievement in support of funding for fish and wildlife conservation. This year, the Coalition Member Achievement Award went to Audubon Connecticut for their tireless work with the Connecticut congressional delegation, leading the charge to establish a wildlife conservation license plate in Connecticut, and for their work to develop projects and secure lands that aid in the implementation of Connecticut's State Wildlife Action Plan.
Comprised of more than 6,300 State fish & wildlife agencies, wildlife biologists, hunters, anglers, birdwatchers, hikers, nature-based businesses, and other conservationists, the Teaming With Wildlife (TWW) coalition is the largest and most diverse coalition ever assembled in support of wildlife conservation funding. The TWW coalition is the leading advocate for the State and Tribal Wildlife Grants (SWG) program and the implementation of the State Wildlife Action Plans (SWAPs), which are aimed at preventing wildlife from becoming endangered.
If your organization is not yet a member of the TWW Coalition, you can join here.
