Glynnis Breen

Vice President, Communications

Glynnis Breen leads global strategic communications efforts for the National Audubon Society, strengthening cross-sector engagement and conservation impact. Her role spans external and internal communications, messaging, stakeholder outreach and media relations.

Before joining Audubon, Glynnis drove communications, marketing, and brand strategy for the American Forest Foundation, where she was instrumental in catalyzing a diverse coalition of partners to improve forest health and tackle climate change. Prior to AFF, she spearheaded global outreach initiatives for the National Geographic Society, overseeing communications and marketing for all programmatic divisions, and leading engagement efforts for the organization's high-profile Explorers, Grantees, and Fellows initiatives.

Outside of the office, Glynnis is at peak happiness tromping through the woods with her curious daughter and championing women’s leadership as a founding member of Chief. A proud graduate of George Washington University, she also serves on the board of NatureBridge, furthering her commitment to environmental education, outreach, and impact.
