Ryan Hobbs
As the Enterprise GIS Support Specialist for Audubon, Ryan Hobbs leads the Enterprise GIS team and applies an interdisciplinary approach to manage and support priority projects, initiatives, and staff across the National Audubon Society and its network. He supports Audubon's greater conservation initiatives and programs through the creation and maintenance of GIS products and services, which have been instrumental in projects like Climate Watch, the Christmas Bird Count, and the Sagebrush Songbird Survey, the latter of which won the Esri President's Award. Ryan, who started with Audubon as a Dangermond Fellow, now oversees this prestigious GIS fellowship, and partners with Esri to develop and strengthen the use of GIS throughout Audubon.
Prior to joining Audubon, Ryan worked as an elementary school teacher for gifted students and spent summers directing a science camp. Ryan holds a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education (K-8) with a focus on middle school science from Central Washington University, and a Master's of Environmental Science from Evergreen State College.
