Also known as Evergreen Huckleberry, California Huckleberry, this small to medium-sized evergreen shrub bears light pink, bell-shaped flowers followed by blue-black berries popular with songbirds and mammals in late summer. This plant reaches 2 to 6 feet tall in full sun to shade and in dry to moist, well-drained or poor soils.
