This small perennial gives off a mild, oniony scent, growing grass-like leaves and a 1 to 2 feet tall flowering stalk out of a bulb. Out of the stem grows an eye-catching umbel of pink or white flowers. This plant prefers full sun, and in moist, rich soil, and attracts a variety of wildlife, including mammals, butterflies, and hummingbirds.
