It grows lance-shaped, olive green leaves and clusters of showy, trumpet-shaped, yellow flowers that are especially attractive to butterflies and hummingbirds. This shrub grows in full sun and partial shade, and in dry, well-drained soils, including rocky, sandy, limestone, and loam soils.
