Also known as Mexican Crucillo and Squaw-bush, this perennial shrub can grow up to 10 feet tall. This plant grows slender, thorny branches that are often crooked, yellow flowers, and black/reddish black fruit. It grows in dry environments, its dense foliage providing a great shelter and food source for birds and small mammals.
