Also known as Bahama Strongbark and Smooth Strongbark, this is a small evergreen tree or large shrub that typically grows 10 to 15 feet tall, but can reach a maximum of 28 feet. It bears tubular, white flowers most of the year, which are attractive to hummingbirds and butterflies, and bright orange fruit in fall and winter. Bodywood is fairly salt tolerant, growing in full sun to partial shade and dry, sandy soils.
